Workshop Delivery Methods

Now that all courses are blended in E-Campus, there are workshop delivery method descriptions to let our clients know how they will be accessing your content. The delivery method will be displayed in the E-Campus catalog.

Here's a quick description of the four delivery method options:

In-person

This is for face-to-face workshops without online course components. Think workshops in a conference room. This is the direct replacement for the old ILT course type.

Online Course, Facilitated

This is for facilitated online content, typically synchronous. That means there is a human grading tests, assignments, responding to discussions, or in some other way interacting with students of this course.

Online Course, Self-directed

Students in these courses will not have a live human interacting with them for assignments, tests, etc. Oftentimes these are self-paced, but can also be time-based or at least time-limited.

Online, Live Broadcast (includes Zoom, LiveStream, Skype, etc.)

Students access the teacher/content online at a specific time - LIVE.

Examples:
  • Live webinars
  • Live broadcasts (Livestream)
  • Web meetings

Online, On-Demand Recording

These recordings are available on the student's own time and often will have a simple testing component to demonstrate completion for credit.

Examples:

  • Recorded webinars
  • Recorded Livestream broadcasts
  • Recorded lectures

Blended - In-person and Online Content

This is for workshops with in-person (face to face) meetings and online content. The online content can be served in a variety of ways including online courses, supporting recorded videos, etc.

Workshop Setting Note - Show Launch Button - Set to YES if you have added online content that you'd like to make available to participants via Canvas LMS. This adds a "Launch" button that participants will be able to access from their current workshop list or transcript, and it will open a course player window with your content. BE SURE YOU HAVE READY CONTENT if you have a launch button.
