Student View in Canvas

As you're building your Canvas course, you may be wondering what your course will look like to your participants. Using the Student View button provides a quick way to check!

Opening Student View

1. Open your Canvas course.
2. From the course home, click the Student View button located in the upper right corner.

This will show you what your course will look like live. Notice the pink border indicating you are in student view. You can fully participate in the course from this view, including discussions, quizzes, and assignments.

Leaving or Resetting Student View

If you make changes and want to start fresh, click Reset Student button to clear activity. Click Leave Student View when you are done to return to your account. Both buttons are located at the right on the bottom of the page.
