Uploading Captions to Wistia

Note: Before you begin you will need a .SRT file that contains the captions for your video. SRT files can be obtained through services like REV, created in Canvas Studio, or may be supplied to you along with videos. 

1. To begin login to your Wistia account and locate the video to which you would like to add captions. 

2. Click on the name of the video and then choose Customize from the menu on the right. 

3. In the customize menu select, [CC] Captions.

4. In the Caption menu, choose upload .srt file. Select the .srt file from your computer and choose Open. To preview the captions, play your video and open the [CC] menu and select English or the language spoken in the video.
